'the permanent kind'

I've always been a fan of tattoos, but each year, each month, each day, my love grows more and more and more! And it's not just skulls and butterflies and barbed wire arm bands anymore. Oh no, tattoo artists and those getting ink are getting more and more creative and there are so many beautiful things to put on your skin! It truly has become a refined art form - the permanent kind.

The last tattoo is my own. It may be simple, but it's a reminder that I can often use.

'Tis the season to get married!

Well, for some at least!

Edie and I were graciously invited to photograph our very first wedding last month! We got some wonderful shots and learned so very much.  I can only speak for myself, but I know I still have a long way to go - but I must say, I absolutely adore it!  And I've actually shot 2 more since!  So bring on the wedding bells, and I will be there, camera in hand!

My favourite part was at the end of the night when everyone changed into comfy, dance ready clothing, and the groom and his son busted out their guitars and played tunes all night!  As exhausted as we were, probably due to the nerves of shooting our first wedding more than anything else, I know we both enjoyed our time immensely!

So again, a bit thanks to the Bride and Groom!  And congratulations!  xoxo

Go Local

My lovely friend and I went road trippin' a few weeks back and on our way out we stopped at the loveliest market. The prices were better than the grocery stores and the fruit, well obviously it was much more delicious! This particular market is just west of Chase, BC - if you're ever in the area check them out!

A different kind of art...

Edie and I went road trippin' and on our travels we did some late night art, aaaand by late night art I mean at 3am we made a quick, simple stencil and left our mark around the chosen city! It was wonderfully fun, and I won't lie, I may do it again...  ;)

Anyhow, it's time to celebrate, because I have FINALLY gotten my website up and running!!!  Woohoo!

Here's a little lick:
