DIY - Hex-Nut Bracelet by Night (attempt #1 - that's right, I'm making more than one!)
So, it should come to no surprise that Ms. Edie sent this link to me, and also tried this project. BUT it was just too wonderful an idea to not try myself! Although my hex-nuts may have been too big... or perhaps my string too thin! Either way, it was fun to try out and I will most certainly be making more attempts at this little DIY project that Edie found via Honestly... WTF.
You'll need:
You'll need:
Hex-Nuts! (go figure...)
String (I used hemp, but there are some great synthetic
options, or even leather)
Start braiding...
And slowly/carefully weave the hex-nuts in (this can take a certain level of patience...
I swear, I stayed calm the WHOLE time...)
Want a better tutorial with an even better turn-out (with photos not taken late at night)?! Check out the founding site: Honestly... WTF
But don't think I'm content with this try, I will most definitely outfit myself with more supplies and give it another go!
Happy crafting!

How happy is the blameless vestal's lot!
The world forgetting, by the world forgot.
Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind!
Each pray'r accepted, and each wish resign'd;
Eloisa to Abelard by Alexander Pope
My favourite movie of all-time: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
The rest of this poem is quite beautiful as well - I think I will post random excerpts from it from time to time :)
